“Game” traffic closures

Several intersections will be closed as crews work on the film “Game” in downtown Albuquerque.

The production company sent notices to nearby businesses, warning of the closures.

Here is the part of the notice mentioning where filming will happen:

“We are planning to film several scenes at the intersection of 5th and Silver along with the alley between 4th and 5th, Gold and Silver. Our filming date is Saturday, November 10, 2007. Our filming hours will be from 4:00am to 1l:00pm. Our filming will include automatic gunfire as well as special effects, explosions and black smoke.

“We will begin to prep the area on Friday, November 9, 2007 at 7:00 a.m. with staging equipment and set dressing in the curb lanes of Silver from 4th to 6th, the curb lanes of 4th between Gold and Lead and the curb lanes of 5th between Gold and Lead. We have also requested to close the alley from 4th to 5th between Silver and Gold from 7:00 a.m., Friday to 5:00 a.m. Monday. We will close 5th Street from Gold to Lead and Silver from 4th to 6th Street from 7 p.m. Friday to 5:00 a.m. on Monday. At midnight we will completely close 4th between Gold and Lead until Sunday at 7am. We will open Silver between 2nd and 4th, as well as the driving lanes of 4th from Gold to Lead to accommodate Sunday’s church service.

“We will be filming in the area over the next several weeks; additional notifications will be distributed as other filming dates approach.”
