Sofia. This year Bulgaria is among the top destinations for pictures of Hollywood – several major film projects are already negotiated to be shot in New Boyana. One of the blockbusters that will be filmed in the country, is the sequel to the 2013 thriller Olympus Has Fallen ( Code: Olympus ) starring Gerard Butler.
The second part will be titled London Has Fallen. Gerard Butler will reprise his role as US Army Ranger Mike Banning in follow-up London Has Fallen after plans to develop the film were given the green light by production house Millennium Films.
Aaron Eckhart and Morgan Freeman are also resurrecting their respective roles as US President Benjamin Asher and Speaker of the House Allan Trumball when principal photography kicks off next May.
All three stars are expected to join the shooting works in Bulgaria.
