Lionsgate pushed the Jason Statham actioner Safe from October 28 to March 2, 2012. The move explains why we haven’t seen a trailer yet.
Focus Features scheduled Sundance darling Pariah for December 25
[b]The Weinstein Company pushed Ralph Fiennes’ Shakespeare adaptation Coriolanus from December 2 to January 13, 2012. I imagine they may sneak a limited release in before the end of the year to qualify for the Oscars, but the move suggests TWC will focus on My Week With Marilyn, The Artist, W.E., and The Iron Lady for the Oscar push.[/b]
Warner Bros. will release the Nicholas Sparks adaptation The Lucky One, led by Zac Efron, on August 24, 2012
Fox Searchlight booked The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel for Tom Wilkinson, Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, and Bill Nighy on March 9, 2012

Safe
Catherine Chan, Chris Sarandon, Robert John Burke, Reggie Lee, and Danny Hoch join Statham in Safe. Boaz Yakin (Death in Love) directed from his own screenplay. Official synopsis:
A former elite agent encounters and rescues a twelve-year-old Chinese girl who’s been abducted by the Triads. Armed with a safe-cracking combination, they find themselves in the middle of a stand-off between Triads, the Russian Mafia and high-level corrupt New York City politicians and police.
Pariah
Adepero Oduye earned acclaim for her starring performance in Pariah. Pernell Walker, Aasha Davis, Charles Parnell, Sahra Mellesse, and Kim Wayans also star. Official synopsis:
A rousing success at its world premiere at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, this deeply felt human drama is the feature debut of writer/director Dee Rees. The Lucky One
Efron stars opposite Taylor Schilling , Blythe Danner, Riley Thomas Stewart, and Adam Lefevre in The Lucky One, directed by Scott Hicks. Here’s the synopsis for Sparks’ book:

Dev Patel joins the stupendous veteran cast for The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, directed by John Madden (The Debt). Official synopsis:
