Law Abiding Citizen, the $73 million theatrical powerhouse starring Gerard Butler and Academy Award® winner Jamie Foxx, continued its winning streak from the silver screen to the small screen this week, as it beat all new video titles streeting this week to become the #1 home entertainment release for both sell-through and rentals.  The riveting psychological thriller, released theatrically last year by Overture Films, follows Clyde Shelton (Butler), a seemingly ordinary crime victim and Nick Rice (Foxx), a Philadelphia prosecutor, as they play a deadly cat and mouse game between a man bent on revenge and a justice system powerless to stop him. In the film, Shelton is an upstanding family man whose life is forever changed by the brutal murder of his wife and daughter during a home invasion. Â When the killers are caught, Nick is assigned to prosecute the case. Â He offers one of the suspects a light sentence in exchange for testifying against his accomplice. Â Ten years later, the man who got away with murder is found dead and Shelton coolly admits his guilt, at the same time issuing a warning to Nick: Either fix the flawed justice system that failed his family, or key players in the trial will die…
