There’s more than politics going on inside and outside Philadelphia City Hall for a next couple of days – a movie shoot is under way and it will affect commuters through Friday.
Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler are in town to film “Law Abiding Citizen,” a psychological thriller the Hollywood trades say focuses on an assistant district attorney and a vigilante plot set into motion by a victim of the legal system. Through Friday morning, the City Hall court yard, will be closed and access to the Septa subway stairs will be also shut down.
The movie has lots of extras, some playing lawyers. Robin McCloskey of Newtown, Bucks County, is one of those booked to portray a lawyer in the background. So how does one prepare?
“Just try to look lawyerly.”
(Abrams): “Got the glasses here and you have a briefcase or something?”
“Glasses, briefcase, a suit, the whole thing, yeah.”
A location manager confirmed both Foxx and Butler are in town for various shoots.
