The 34th Annual Saturn Award Nominations (Blog)

February 20, 2008 | 300 News

The Saturn Award nominations, announced by The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror films, always tend to pack that gore-filled genre-punch so needed at this time of year—when fans are prepping for a whole new year of supposedly fantastic titles while still reflecting over the good, bad, and simply unmentionable titles of the year prior.

This year, the 34th Annual Saturn Award Nominations are in and top nominees include that CGI wonderland of 300, which scored ten nominations, as well as Tim Burton’s vengeful, razor-toting Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, which sliced eight nominations off the ol’ award block.

In addition to the top scorers, genre film faves like The Mist, Cloverfield and I Am Legend made headway on the list, along with TV shows like Dexter, Heroes and Battlestar Galactica. Check out the full list below and see if your favorites made it!
