This Frank Miller epic is a film adaptation of the story of 300 spartans. The film is fantastic, the story flows wonderfully, the plot is fantastic, the character development was done perfectly, and the special effects are definitely awe-inspiring. Gerard Butler, who plays King Leonidas gave a great performance which was only rivaled by the performance of his queen, Queen Gorgo, played by Lena Headey. Unfortunately many of the actor’s performances in this film were looked over because of the unique special effects, however they were still fantastic. Being a fan of history, i loved the story, and although i wasn’t familiar with the story before the film, after seeing only the previews, i was reeled into the world that is the Battle of Thermopylae. Then finally the movie came out and i couldn’t wait to see it. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. From the beginning when Zach Snyder was setting up the story through the entire battle scene, all the way till the conclusion. I don’t want to say too much about the film itself, for anyone who may read this that has not seen the it, however if you get a chance, i cannot recommend it enough. It has been by far my favorite movie of the past 3 or 4 years at least. No other film has caught me the way this one has.
