It’s the day after the Oscars, and celebrity news and gossip keeps rolling in. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s still a postparty or two under way somewhere in Hollywood.
So, what else have I got for you from Oscar weekend? Madonna, Sean Penn, George Clooney and a real-life medical drama in the midst of the Vanity Fair party.
Ex Marks the Spot: Superagent Bryan Lourd of CAA opened his house on Saturday for his annual soiree. Who was there? Former husband-and-wife team Madonna and Sean Penn (no, they did not come together), Daniel Craig, Ellen Barkin, George Clooney, Clive Owen, Salma Hayek, Gerard Butler, Al Gore, André Balazs, Amy Sacco and Hedi Slimane.
On the same night, the Endeavor agency gathered a nice crowd, including Mark Wahlberg, Martin Scorsese, Larry David, Cheryl Hines, Sacha Baron Cohen and rumored-to-be couple Rose McGowan and her Grindhouse director, Robert Rodriguez. Speaking of Cohen, he was spotted having dinner with blast-from-the-past Arsenio Hall the other night at the Lodge in L.A.
Vanity 911: I hope there was a doctor in the house at Graydon Carter’s Vanity Fair postparty at Morton’s. Just before midnight, “some girl was carried out of the party,” an eyewitness told me. “It looked like an emergency. They ran her out a side exit.”
VF also had a food emergency. A source reports they ran out of In-N-Out burgers during the middle of the party. The horror!
