You can check out some images of the Viking ship replica on the Ice Lagoon on the south coast of Iceland, director Sturla Gunnarsson and actors onboard Islendingur and Irish monk Brendan drifting in his boat on the Iceberg Lagoon. See them here.

Adapted.from the Anglo-Saxon epic poem, Beowulf, which was one of the tales that inspired J. R. R. Tolkien, Beowulf and Grendel is a medieval adventure that tells the bloodsoaked tale of a Norse warrior’s battle against the great and murderous troll, Grendel.

The film is shooting for another couple of months in Iceland and will be ready some time next year. There is also talk of a sequel in Beowulf and the Dragon, which will plot the later part of the story.
