Vista estrenará en abril del próximo año el drama Dear Frankie.
Lizzie (Mortimer) lleva años huyendo del padre de su hijo Frankie un niño sordo, a través de Escocia. En su huída, Lizzie ha creado una historia ficticia en la que el padre está permanente embarcado en un barco llamado HMS Accra. Lizzie ha llegado tan lejos en sus fantasías que incluso escribe a su hijo supuestas cartas de su padre cada mes contándole fantásticas historias de lugares lejanos.
Pero la ficción amenaza con venirse abajo cuando Frankie descubre que el HMS Accra va a arribar al puerto de la ciudad donde viven en la actualidad, por lo que Lizzie empieza a buscar a alguien que suplante al padre de Frankie.
La película está dirigida por Shona Auerbach, contando el reparto con intérpretes como Emily Mortimer, Gerard Butler, Mary Riggans, o Sharon Small.

Buena Vista will open drama movie Dear Frankie next April.
Lizzie (Mortimer) has spent several years running away from the father of her son Frankie, a deaf boy, through Scotland. On her runaway, Lizzie has made a story about Frankie’s father, in which he’s always travelling on a ship called HMS Accra. Lizzie has gone so far on her fantasy that she even writes supposed letters to Frankie from his father monthly, in which he tells his son wonderful stories about far-off places.
But fantasy threatens to collapse when Frankie comes across the HMS Accra will arrive at the dock on the city they live right now, so Lizzie starts looking for somebody who can become Frankie’s father.
The film is directed by Shona Auerbach, and the cast counts with actors such as Emily Mortimer, Gerard Butler, Mary Riggans or Sharon Small.
