I’m not sure what it is about the freezing cold winter mornings in Ohio, but the always seem to have odd effects on the way I think. Take for instance this morning, when I first took aim at this story about Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston’s upcoming project. According to Variety, Butler and Aniston have signed on to an untitled bounty hunter project in which Butler will play a bounty hunter that is contracted to retrieve his wife (Aniston), who has skipped bail.
Oddly enough, my first thought was Dog the Bounty Hunter with a Cockney British accent. My second thought was Cartman as Dog the Bounty Hunter on South Park, with a British accent. Cartman aside, couldn’t you just imagine what Gerard Butler would look like if he packed on some 300-style muscle and donned a crazy long blond wig? That would be awesome. Jen Aniston’s costume — straight trailer trash hooker style, seriously. This could be the greatest comedy ever.
Though I have a feeling that it won’t happen like that, as the film will be helmed by Hitch director Andy Tennant, who is known for making kitschy, safe romantic comedies. My guess is that this will be much of the same — clean cut, good looking “bounty hunter” goes after his white collar crime committing wife who has skipped town and is hiding out on the mean streets of The Hamptons. Sounds like, er, fun.
