Wrath of Gods is an challenging exploration into the rigors of cinema making as seen through and through the troubled production of 2005s Beowulf and Grendel (not to be lost with Robert Zemeckis approaching motion catch adaptation of the same famed story). The same couldnt be said for the brilliant Terry Gilliam wHO never was able to see his “The Man World Health Organization Killed Don Quixote” adaptation come to life (that story is brilliantly displayed in the similarly themed documentary Bemused in La Mancha – which Pantryman playfully references in this film).
Documentaries like Lost in La Mancha and the entertaining if a trifle sad Wrath of Gods urinate me marvel how any film always gets accomplished. I take in yet to see Beowulf and Grendel, but after watching Wrath of Gods, you rump bet Ill check it out presently. Perhaps actress Sarah Polley sums it up best “The only thing honestly I can compare it to is “The Adventures of Business leader Manchuasen” when I was 8 and that was I think 3 times harder than this. Wrath of Gods is a fantastic objective giving us insite into the world of movie making. I enjoyed every last hour of this film. What a great blend of drama and humor, giving us large entertainment. The DVD has some terrific extras. This is what a documentary should be!!!!
