HOLLYWOOD star Gerard Butler yesterday told of his terror after being hit by hurricane winds in Iceland while filming his latest movie.
The Phantom of the Opera star revealed that production of Beowulf & Grendel was almost scrapped after four actors were blown off their feet.
Butler said: “One day, eight car windows were put in by flying rocks from the wind and our base camp was blown away five times.
“It was insane. There was one scene where four actors were blown three feet in one gust.”
Beowulf & Grendel is based on the Anglo-Saxon epic poem “Beowulf” and is due to be released later this year.
Paisley-born Butler’s latest film The Game of Their Lives hits US cinema screens today.
Butler plays Frank Borghi, the American goalkeeper who helped his country beat England 1-0 during the 1950 World Cup.
